How to trim your baby’s nails (I used the experience from trimming my own son’s nails to write this and found that it worked best if I trimmed Tommy’s nails while he was sleeping or distracted.)  

 

 

1. Hold the finger of the nail you want to trim as shown in the photo and let the lil Nipper™ rest in the other hand. (The lilnipper.com logo is on the top and should be visible to you at this point)

 

2. Slide the nail into the slot and press with the opposite hand to trim the nail off cleanly and smoothly.  Don’t worry because you cannot and will not cut your baby’s finger.

 

3. Repeat for each fingernail and when finished turn the lil Nipper™ on its side to empty the nails.

The lil Nipper™ is an entirely new concept in trimming fingernails.  It might take a couple tries before you have the process down well, but know that while this learning is happening, you cannot hurt your baby’s finger.
