About Us The inventor of the lil Nipper™ has been developing innovative fingernail clippers for over 19 years. We are a Minnesota based family business. All our products are manufactured 100% in the USA. Clipping an infants fingernails without cutting /hurting them is a very difficult job. Regular metal clippers and baby nail scissors/clippers have a wide space between the blades that can cut the child’s skin around the nail, even if you are extremely careful. For those of you who have had this happen, you know it can be a very traumatic experience. The little buggers scream like the dickens and bleed quite a bit. I have developed a fingernail clipper for babies (newborns to about 5 years) that cannot cut the babies skin. The lil Nipper™ is totally different than any nail clipper you’ve ever seen. It has a plastic body and a faceplate with a slot. To trim a baby’s fingernail, you put the little nail into the slot and squeeze the plastic body. It's that easy! When finished tip the lil Nipper™ over and dump-out the nails. The challenge with mine is getting the nail into the slot in such a manner that when you squeeze the body the nail is cut. This takes a little practice because you’ve never used a product like this before. The lil Nipper™ won’t cut a baby’s nail too short either. For a two-month-old all you really need to accomplish is to trim off the rough edges and shape up the nail. When the child gets older you’ll be able to trim the nails quite short and shape perfectly. With traditional clippers and scissors, cutting a baby’s fingernail without cutting their finger was a very difficult job. The lil Nipper™ is a remarkable product for babies.
